"The race's final meters saw an incredible comeback that I'll never forget," as she was behind at the 75m mark. Determination and a final surge to the wall, won her the world championship. Working on visualisation for such moments pays off in the moments when you have to find that extra energy to win the race. "The intense competitive environment at world championships demands mental fortitude," Susana admits. "Despite my successes, I still grapple with nerves,” proving that even the most accomplished athletes are not immune to pre-competition jitters."

"Traveling across the globe to compete in world championships comes with its own set of challenges," Susana acknowledges. "From jet lag to navigating the layouts of various competition pools, adaptation and determination are key."
